Servantgalism.
• The other day a popular Marton host advertisedVfdr a general servant for his house, not 100 mileß from the railway station., Application was duly made, and the " want " supplied. The day arrived on which the gial was to enter on her engagement, and Bhe telegraphed 1 to her employer, asking him to send a conveyance to the station to meet her. Two hours afterwards she received from the indignant hostess the fdllowiug: message : " A coach and four, page aud footman awaits your ladyship." The girl read- the message, but declined to accept the stately provision made for her, thinking probably that " servant* gal-ism "had not always the best of it after all. - • . .
