Serious Accident.
A serious accident happened on Tuesday at Mr Bartlettfs Albion Sawmill on the Moreton road, Carterton, Wairarapa, which has crippled; one of the poor fellows for life, even if it does not terminate fatally. Thomas Peel, who has the co*htract for hauling the timber to the mill, while .driving, had the mishap of his horse bolting. He was thrown under, the trucks and fearfully smashed about the head, legs, body, and arms, He was promptly conveyed to the ; Greytow,n hospital, where his .injuries were .attended to, but it has been found necessary to amputate onr* arm.
