Royal Conqueror, a pure Clydesdale, took first prize at Battersea as a two-year-old, at the United Exhibition of the Royal Agricultural Society' of England and the Royal Highland Society, and was therefore entitled to be regarded as the best colt m England and Scotland m his year. He was selected and imported for Mr H. Redwood byiheHon. W. Robinson. Gipsy haß taken two first prizes at the Richmond Agricultural Show. Prince of the Valley took first prize at the Richmond Agricultural Show for three-year-olds m 1875 > first prize for provincial bred m 1876, first prize for provincial bred m 1877, and also first prize against all comers, beating the imported horses Sir Walter Scott and British General.
