A special cable message m the Melbourne Age i 3 a3 follows : — * Despite the reports circulated to the contrary, AraM- Pasha is m poor circumstances, and the Egyptian Government, acting on the suggestion of Lord Dufforin, have decided to make him an allowance of £500 a year, so long as he obserres the conditions under whioh the capital sentence passed on him was commuted to one of exile.'
