(BY TELEGRAPH) (UKITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.) : Christchurch, This Bay. James Thompson, killed on the railway, had been drinking heavily. A gunner carrying cartridges during the firing of a salute yesterday, at the opening of the dock, received injuries through a cartridge bursting. A child about 18 months old was seen on the railway line, and narrowly escaped being killed. It was pushed aside by the cowcatcher.
