Horses to be named within a quarter of an hour after the last heat for the Ladies’ Purse, and to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. One mile REGULATIONS. No person, not a subscriber of two guineas to the fund, will be allowed to enter a horse for any race. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer, on the Saturday following the races, at the Victoria Hotel, Blenheim, at eleven o’clock, a.m. Entries (excepting for the Hack Stakes and Consolation Plate), to be made, and colours of the riders declared, under a sealed cover to the Secretary of the Jockey Club, at the Victoria Hotel, Blenheim, at or before one o’clock, p.m., on Thursday, the 20th day of December. No public money will be added to the sweepstakes by the Stewards, unless two horses, the bona fide property of separate owners, do start. A bell will ring for saddling and another for starting ) nor more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started. The rules of the Nelson Turf Club will be strictly adhered to. Horses to be at the post for the Jockey Club Plate at 11 o’clock. Persons are requested not to bring dogs on the course. W. 11.
