To STAND THIS SEASON, at Mr. S. Eves’s, Omaka Valley, the Clydesdale Stallion GLANCER, Was imported from Scotland by Mr. Monro, in the “ Constantine,” and is allowed, by competent judges, to be the best Cart Stallion ever imported to Nelson. GLANCER will be at The Royal Hotel, Blenheim, every Tuesday; Woolpack Inn, Renwicktown, every Wednesday ; Mr. Oekley’s, Wairau. Valley, every ' Thursday; And the remaining days at Mr. S. Eves’s, Omaka. By applying to Mr. S. Eves, arrangements can be made for leaving mares with him, to be stinted to G-lancer; and to Mr. Ockley, Wairau Valley, for leaving mares with him for the same purpose. TERMS: £4 a Mare, and ss. the Groom; payable the Ist January, 1861. 357 I. Fbeeth. TO STAND THIS SEASON, at Woodbourne, the powerful young Cart Horse, CLINKER, Imported by Mr. H. Redwood. Terms—£3 a mare, and ss. the groom. Covering fee to be paid on Ist January, 1861. Extensive paddocks, comprising 800 acres; plenty of water ; charge, 2s. 6d. per week. Every attention paid, but no responsibility incurred. Any mares left in charge of the undersigned not proving in foal, £1 will be returned to the owner thereof. No mares taken that have never been handled. CLINKER will be at the Royal Hotel, Blenheim, every Monday, from Ten till Four o’clock. 387 11. Godfrey. TO STAND THIS SEASON, at the Redwood Run, Waihopai, the wellknown Cart Stallion, EMPEROR. Emperor was got by Captain, out of the well-known mare Kitty, is six years old, and has proved himself a sure foal getter. Emperor will be on the run on and after the first week of October next. All mares must be taken away by the 15th of February, 1861. Terms —£3 a mare, payable on delivery. A liberal allowance made for two or more mares, the bona fide property of one person. Paddocks provided for mares, at a charge of 2s. Gd. per week. Every attention will be paid, but no responsibility incurred. 391 TO STAND THIS SEASON, at Flaxbourne, the thorough-bred Entire Horse PRIAM. Priam is a good chestnut, 12 years old, and a sure foal-getter. Imported into this colony by Captain Hunter. Priam is by Ether, out of Crucifix, by Tros, out of Kathleen O’More, by Langar. Kathleen O’More one of the five mares imported by Mr. Cator to New South Wales. Also, the Entire Colt, HERO. Hero is a bright bay, rising 3 years old, by II Barbiere, out of a shackle-brand Mare, imported to this colony by Mr. Curr, and bred by W. H. Harris, Esq. Persons requiring the services of the above Horses are requested to apply early, as only a limited number of mares will be taken. No unhandled mares taken. Every attention paid, but no liability incurred. Terms—£4 45., payable on the Ist of January, 1861. 395 TO STAND THIS SEASON, at Mr. S. Eves’s, Cowslip Valley, Omaka, the useful Farm Horse PEACOCK. Terms—£2 10s.; and ss. the groom. All fees to be paid on the First of January next. All mares left will be properly attended to. 394 FOR SALE, at Picton, Half of Section 205, with the Buildings thereon, at present occupied as a Store by James M'Beth. Also, Section 179, with a house thereon, substantially fenced and cultivated. Some Pigs, Fowls, and Geese with this lot. Also, for sale, about 20 head of Cattle.
