Iu order to meet the wishes of his nnmerous and rapidly increasing list of customers, Mr Frank Hargreaves, painter, paperhanger and house decorator, has decided to erect a shop on the section of land in High Street, near that of Mr J. Saunder's. The building is to be commenced forthwith.

A cribbage match was held at Upper I Moutere on Saturday night the sides representing Riwaka and the Moutere, the former being conveyed to the' convincing ground by Mr Stanley Fowler. The public meeting, called for Wednesday evening by His Worship the Mayor, is to consider the question of forming a properly constituted Harbor Board for Motueka and also to discuss Hbe advisability of making it an elective body. As the whole of the ratepayers in the. Motueka district are concerned, we hope to see a representative attendance. The proceedings will commence ac seven o'clock.
