POKORORO.
From/ -Correspondent. A pleasanpttle function took place here on We/nesday last. The inhabitants met \f take afternoon tea with Miss Brad7y who is leaving the district, afte/ten years of faithful service, to take /p eduties at the Motupipi school. / After/tea, Mr McGaveston, the oldest setter in the district, presented, on behalf/of the parents, as a token of their/ery great esteem, a very handsomeclock and silver teapot. A silver cruf was also presented by one of four brokers who were old pupils. Each pr/4ent pupil also presented Miss Radley with a gift of their ovvn, some rf which were very pretty and useful, photographs were taken by Mr Allen Salisbury of the present pupils with their banner, also a group of the old pupils present. In the evening, the young folks enjoyed themselves with ping pong, winding up with a dance. Thus ended one of the pleasantest evenings one could ever wish for.
