Bidding for the heavy lot was keen. Beef made 25s per 1001bs. s Best bullocks £lO 17s 6d to £ll, others £lO to £lO 15s. A good entry of prime sheep met a keen sals. All classes of stock-were well represented at Addington market today, and there was a large attendande. Fat cattle—23B. head came forward, the entry including a' fair proportion of steers and some good heifers. , The sale opened poorly, and though it improved subsequently, it was irregular throughout, Steers £7 to £ll, heifers~£6 15s to £lO 2s 6.d, cows £5 10s to £9 2s 6d. Beef ruled from 26s to 29s per 1001 b. Fat sheep —Though the entry was huger than. . usual the sale opened briskly, but as it went on competition became less keen, and as a whole business was somewhat disappointing. Primest quality freezing sheep maintained their Values, but medium quality and lightest weights were decidedly

easier. Batchers’ ewes were eagerly competed tor at prices a shade lower than those ruling last week. Extra heavy wethers 26s to 445, best freezing wethers 18s to 21s 3d, lighter 15s lid t0.17s fid, best butchers’ ewes 15s to 20s, others 11s to 14s 6d.

Fat lambs—The 3000 yarded met keen demand, export buyers operating freely. Tegs 17s to 17s 9d, freezers 13s 6d to 16s 6d, butchers’ 8s 9d to 14s.

Pigs: A fair yarding. The sale .vas a dragging one, and prices showed a further decline. Baconers 47s 6d to 575, equal to 4d per lb ; porkers 32s 6d to 42s fid, equal to 4|d ; stores IBs to 265, slips 10s to IBs, weaners 5s to 10s.
