STOCK SALES. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co., in conjunction with Messrs .Abraham and Williams, report on their sale at Johnsonville on Thursday last as follows :--A fair entry of bullocks, the quality being from medium light to prime light and heavy, sold freely. We quote :-*- Beef at 24s to 25s ; bast bullocks L 8 • 17s 6d to L 9 12s 6d ; others L 8 to L 8 7s 6d ; cows L 7 7s 6d. Sheep were in small numbers, and sold freely. Rest ewes 14s lid ; others 13s to 13s 7d. Christchurch, May 27. There was a fair yarding and a good attendance of buyers at Addington market to-day. Fat cattle--230 yarded, the bulk of iio.v.t quality. In consequence of the large supply the sale was rather dragging. Sheep —2552. Prices were fairly well maintained. Best wethers 17s to 18s 6d, medium 14s 6d to 16s 6d, best ewes 15s to 16s 6d, extra heavy 18s 6d, medium 13s to 14s 9d. * Lambs —438*.
