RIWAKA ROAD BOARD.

—o — The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Friday evening, all members being present except Mr Holder. Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Letter received from Treasurv Department advising the payment to* credit of Board of 14s for gravelling, etc., Riwaka Valley ; from the County Council stating that being instalment of 1902-3 rat*- had been paid into credit of Board. [ The following accounts were passed for paymen : Secretary ,£4 2s 3d, A. McLean 223 4d, H. Cook .275, W. Duncan 245, Woolt and Co., us. Tenders for forming Kaiteriteri bridle track were received as follows : C. R. Fry and Co., 15s per chain. G. Groucher 12s 6d per chain, i\ Fianklyn 12s per chain, A. Woolf and Co., 11s per chain. Proposed by Mr Fry, seconded by Mr James and carried, That Woolf and Co's tender at us per chain and culverts at 3s each be accepted. Resolutions passed : That Messrs Pattie and James, be empowered to pass the Little Sydney and Riwaka Valley gravelling contracts and that the provisions of specifications in each*' case be strictly carried out ; that tenders be invited for farming a section of cart road in Brooklyn Valley, also for forming a section of bridle track on Brooklyn main track, the laying off to be left to Messrs Fry and James ; that the Board visit the north branch of the Riwaka river, meeting at Currin's mill with the view of extending the cart road ; that the sum of £2 be expended in widening the old Takaka track leading to Mr W. Pattie's land and that Mr Pattie supervise the work ; that the thirds accruing from L. Francois' property be expended in clearing track leading to same ; that Mr McNobb's account of 15s 3d, be held over for explanation as to charge for storage ; that tenders be invited tor gravelling 10 chairs of road] in Little Sydney ; that tenders be invited for the delivery of gravel, at per yard, on the Valley road. This concluded the business.
