THE BLACK FAMILY.
Attention is again directed to the musical entertainment, to be 'given iu the Institute Hall, to-morrow night, by the clever Black Family of vocalists and instrumentalists. The instrumental and vocal selections are highly praised by contemporaries. On their visit to Nelson, these popular entertainers received a very hearty welcome, and con" sequently there is reason for anticipating that they will meet with a bumper house tomorrow night. The family is certainly one of the cleverest and and most that has ever yet visited these districts, and the programme they give includes something to suit every taste. Miss Nellie Black is not only a gifted singer, but she excels in playing the violin. This instrument is in her hands simply handled like a toy. She plays a difficult solo with intricate passages veiy skilfully her technique being perfect. She also exhibits great skill |in her imitations wherein she shows herself to be an artist of exceptional merit. The abilities of the rest of the company are too numerous to mention. The entertainment given by this talented family is a clever and enjoyable one, and will, no doubt, we have not the least hesitation in saying, attract a bumper house.
