CORRESPONDENCE.

To the Editor. Sir : I ouite agree with you that the Department of Agriculture deserves great credit for importing pedigree st*ck in order to help us to improve the breed of our milking cows, but don’t y{,u think it would be of more benefit to the district if they stationed an Ayrshire bull in say Motueka, instead of expecting us to send to such a distance as Richmond. If what I suggest was done then the bull would be available to dairy farmers in Ngatimoti, Stanley Brook, Dovedale, Upper and Bower Moutere, Pa ngatotara, Pokor oro, Riwaka, Brooklyn, Takaka and Collingwood. I am, etc., , Cow Spanker. Moutere November Ist, 1902.
