Mr H. E. Gilbert, the local postmaster, informs us that on and from the Ist November next, to the* 31st March proximo, the Motueka Post Office will be open for the receipt and despatch of telegrams daily (Sundays excepted) from 7 p.m to 7.30 p.m. The action of the Telegraph department in grating this concession to the public ■\Wil be duly appreciated and taken advantage of. It will be noticed the extended period is at present limited to five months, but we confidently anticipate the volume of business transacted during the evening will warrant the extension being made continuous throughout the-year.
