1 To the Editor. Sir,—Recently a letter recommending that the Telegraph office be opened in the evening.appeared in your columns. This was a very valuable suggestion, arid if carried into effect would be a great boon to outsiders as well as local residents. Another matter that should be seen to is that a letter carrier be appointed to deliver letters, within a certain distance of the Post Office after the arrival of mails, for under the present circumstances many people have to leave their business and lose valuable time, which all counted means many hours in a week, whereas on the other hand a letter carrier could do the work in a comparatively much less space o! time. Again, time would be saved to the officials in sorting over letters each time a caller appears. The “ crush” as at present in the lobby of the office would be lessened, and that door would not have to be fought witn to such an extent as now. ‘ In reference to that door, which everyone complains gof, why is it not made to work more freely, and why not kept open at maxi times, at least ? -v. 1 am, etc., 2oth Centurv.
