Noah Raby, who celebrated his one hundred and thirtieth year recently, is believed to be the oldest inhabitant of the earth. Raby is an inmate of the poorhouse* near New Brunswick. During the past year he has heen'growing puceptiblv more feeble, and the sfyeiva d of the institution some days ago informed the old man that his birthday would be dispensed with this' year. Noah, however, despite his age has a will of his own, and be 1 refused to eat or to obey any request ’ until si promise was made'bin* to observe his birthday as usual. Raby is blind and t* .thless, but his memory still remains clear.
The Coronation will be celebrated in T'elfast by giving 400 cripples a fortnight’s holiday at the .seaside!
