A general servant is advertised for in this issue. Mr J. C. Blackmore, Government Pomologist, wires us from Dunedin to tbe effect that he will shortly return to this district, when he will give practical demonstrations in pruning in several central localities. Starting from next Monday the Motueka Borough Schools w 11 open at half past nine, instead of nine o’clock. This decision was come to at the last meeting of the School Committee. The Motueka School Committee holds its monthly meeting on Monday evening. Messrs Cray and Parker inform us that their next visit to Motueka will be on the 18th August next, the July visit having to be abandoned on account of the Takaka visit falling on the same date. Customers please note. The following are the vital statistics during the month of June, for the Motueka District, as supplied by the ; Registrar, Mr H. A. Tarrant : Births 5, marriages 1, deaths 1.
