STOCK SALES. Christchurch, June 13th. At Addington 209 fat cattle were yarded, mostly prime sorts. All met good sale at 19s 6d to 24s 6d per 1001 b. Prime bullocks £l2 [to £l4 17s 6d, prime steers £9 to £ll 10, lighter £5 10s to £8 10s, prime heifers £9 to £ll ss, others £5 5s to £8 10s, cows £5 to £7 and up to £8 12s 6d for prime. Fat sheep —Over 6000, mostly good sorts. The market was weaker by, Is per head for wethers, and easier all round for ewes. Freezing wethers, 16s 6 1 to 18* sd, maiden ewes 15s 6 1 to 18s 61, ewes for export 10s 6 1 to 15s 61, butchers’ best ewes 12s to 15s 4d, others 9s to 11s, extra prime merino wethers 18s-to 20s 6d, others 11s to 13s 6d.

Fat lambs —800, mostly better quality. A fair clearance was made at 10s 6 1 to 13s 3d for export, and 6s 6d to 10s for others. Store sheep —4000, a mixed entry. Prices were easier. Backward wethers 10s to 11s 4d, better sorts passed at 13s, god sound young ewes 13s 9d to 14s 7d, a fow aged sorts 2s to 4s 9d, lambs 6s 3d to Bs. Pigs —400. There was a greatly improved demand for all classes, buyers being especially keen forjfats: Baeoners 35s to 535, equal to 3fd and 4d per lb, porkers 20s to 30s, stores 10s to 18s, suckers and weaners 5s to Bs. Dunedin, June 13th. At Burnside to-day 136 fat cattle were yarded. The trade was well supplied, but the short supply caused prices to advance 5s to 10s per* head. Best bullocks £lO ,_los to £ll 10s, good £8 10s to £9 ss, medium £7 to £3, best cows and heifers £7 1 5s to L 8 10s, good £6 10s to £7 10s, medium £5 5s to £6, inferior £3 17s 6d to £4 10 s.

13s, medium 9s to 10s 3ci, inferior 7s ta»-Bs. Lambs—-563 were yarded. Best 11s, medium from 7s 6d to 9s 6d. Pigs 79 were penned, all sorts selling in favour of "vendors. Suckers 6s to 10s, slips 12s to 15s, stores 16s to 18s, porkers 34s to 365, baeoners 40s to 58s. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co (m conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams), report that at their sale at Johnsonville, near Wellington, on Friday last as follows:—We had a full yarding of cattle, consisting of good to medium bullocks, with a fe\y pens of small bullocks and heifers. Beef made 235. We quote : —Best bullocks, L 9 to L 9 15s ; others, L 8 to L 8 12s 6d . smaller bullocks, L 7 7s 6d to L 7 17s 6d ; heifers, T 6 17s 6d. Sheep were in usual supply, and were without improvement on last week’s prices. Store wethers made made 9s ; two-tocth, 7s Id ; forward ewes, 9s to 9s 9d ; twotooth ewes, 7s sd. A line of prime ewes was passed in at 12s 3d. Porkers, 25s to 28-s.
