DANCE AT BROOKLYN.
The reputation the good people of Brooklyn have earned for enjoyable dances was fully maintained on Friday evening last, when there were about 40 couples present at the da nee organised by the Brook In Tennis Club. The proceedings commenced shortly after eight o’clock and were continued with unabated vigor until about three o’clock on Saturday morning. The dance-, round an 1 square, were nv st enjoy able and the music, supplied by Mr R. Bate (extra by Miss McLean), was excei’ent. Songs were given by Messrs R. M. Smith, E. Whitehorn and L. Budden. During the evening a bountiful supper was provided and appreciated by those who were present. As M.C , Mr L. Duncan, carried out his duties to the entire satisfaction of everyone. As showing the popularity of the gathering.-, fit Brooklyn it may be ment'oned that a large number of Motueka residents attended the function.
