PHYSIOGNOMY.
A dry eye means a hard heart. , Brown eyes, are most kindly. Any marked peculiarity of countenance indicates some peculiarity ; of mind. N r A prominent nose and bold chin are the most favouable combination known to the .physiognomistj Eyes which show the whole of the pupil are .often observed in restless, passionate half, simple people. A temple with strongly marked fullness in the upper part belongs to a man of great native prudence. Men with noses that when viewed in profile appear arched are usually witty and clever in conversation. Horizontal eyebrows, full and regular show great understanding, deliberation and capacity for planning and execution. Harsh, unyielding persons, generally have high foreheads, knotty below, sunken eyes, firmly closed mouths, and broad chins. Black sparkling eyes, with a steady, grave mouth, show taste, elegance, sound judgment and often an ungenerous disposition. Large noses are invariably associated with strong traits of character, whether good or bad is determined by other characteristics. Wide open staring eyes belong to people who are dull, but pretentious, who mistake impudence for wit and insolence for candour.
