STOCK SALES. . CHRISTCHURCH, Mar 27. At Addington yesterday 200 fat cattle were on offer, mostly light weights. Steers, £7 15s to £9 17s 6d ; heifers, £5 10s to £8 10s; cows, £4 12s 6d to £8 10s. Fat Sheep—About 3000, mostly secondary ewes, Good wethers, 15s to 17s ; lighter, 13s to 15s ; ewes, best, 12s to 15s 6d ; others, 7s 6d to lls; few merino wethers, 7s to 10s. Fat Lambs numbered 1460. Freezing, 10s 6d to 13s 4d, averaging lls 9d; butchers, 8s 7d to 13s sd. Store Sheep—The 1800 shown were mostly inferior wethers. Forward wethers made lls to 12s 2d ; others, 7s 7d t.o 10s ; good sound ewes, 10s to 13s ; others, 5s to 8s 6d ; lambsi 4s lOd to 7s 3d. Pigs.—About 500. Baconers made 32s 6d ta4ss, equal to 3|d per lb ; porkers, 20s to 30s-3fd ; large stores, 15s to 23s ; small 8s to 12s Id; suckers, 4s to 7s. DUNEDIN, Mar 27. There were about 120 fat cattle at Burnside market last Thursday. Prices —Bullocks, extra prime, £lO 10s 6d to £l2 2s 6d ; ordinary weights, £8 to £9 10s ; medium, £6 15s to £7 10s ; heifers, extra good, up to £8 12s 6d ; medium, £5 to £6 15s. Fat Sheep—Over 2300 penned. Best wethers, 14s 6d to 16s 3d ; medium, 12s to 14s 3d; others up to lls 6d ; best ewes, 12s to 14s 3d ; extra heavy, 15s 9d ; medium, 9s 6d to lls 6d ; others, up to 9s. Jackson and Co (in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams) report that at their sale at Johnsonville, near Wellington, on, Friday as. follows.:. —We had an

average entry of heef, including a few pens of good cows. Best bullcks made L 7 15s to LB, others L 6 15s to L 7 10s, cows L 6 to L 6 ss, We quote beef at 20s per 1001 b. A large entry of sheep came forward, for which there was very little demand, only a few pens selling under the hammer. We quote good ewes at 9s to 9s 6d, medium ewes 8s to 8s fid, wethers 10s to 10s 7d ; good lambs 8s 6d to 9s, mediun lambs 7s 6d to Bs. others 6s 6d to 7s.
