The following are current prices paid to farmers, f.0.b., Lyttelton, and free of commission, except where otherwise specified : Wheat: Prime milling, Tuscan 3s 2d to 3s 3d. ; Hunter’s pearl and velvet 3s Id to 3s 2d ; new 2s lOd to 3s at country stations. New oats. —Long feed, 2s o§d y short feed, 2s Id, in small bags ; milling Canadians 2s 2d to 2s 3d at country stations. Parley (new) —3s to 3s 3d at country stations.
Beans : 2s 8d to 2s 9d, f.o.b. Peas: Partridge, 2s 9d ; Blue Prussians 3s 3d at country, stations. ' Flour (millers’ quotations).: Roller £8 10s.
Sharps: £4 5s Pollard : £4 5s per ton. » Bran : £3 15s. Oatmeal: £l3 f.o.b. Hay: £2 10s to £2 15s delivered. Oatsbeaf chaff: 47s 6d to 50s at country stations. .
Onions : £2 5s at country stations.

The small supply kept up late rates, viz., 17s 6d to 22s fid per 1001 b ; steers, L 7 5s to L 9 7s 6d, up to LI 0 7s 6d for extra ; heifers, L 5 5s to L 7 10s, up to £8 10s for extra ; cows, L 5 to L 7 2s fid, up to £8 7s 6d for extra. - *
Fat sheep—6794 penned, a, very mixed entry, mostly butchers’ ewes. All classes easier by Is per head. Best 15s to 16s, up to 17s for extra prime ; lighter, 14s to 14s lOd ; unfinished wethers, 12s 6d to 13s lOd ; best heavy-weight ewes, 14s to 15s 6d ; good, 11s to 13s 6d ; secondary, 8s to 10s 6d; inferior, 6s to 7s fid. Fat lambs ; 1561 penned, mostly unfinished, The market all round was easier by 9d to Is per head. Following are quotations :—1960 for export brought 10s 4d to 13 sd, averaging 15s 3d ; 343 to butchers, 8s to 12 lOd ; few extra, to 14s 3d ; 258 passed at 11s to 12s 9d.
Store sheep : 8828 penned, very ed and mostly rough ewes. For wart 1 wethers, 12s 2d to 13s 4d; others, 10s lid to 1 Is lid; mixed ewes and wethers, 10s 3d to 11s Id ; good ewes, 10s to 11s 3d ; medium, 9s 3d to 9s fid ; aged, 3s lOd to,6s fid ; boilers. 2s 9d.
Lambs: Forward, 9s' to 11s lOd c»t.hers, 6s fid to 8s 6d, ...
Pigs : 553 yarded. Baconers very mixed, mostly half fats off stubble All classes except prime easier and unfinished ; iittle soughtafter. Fair baconers, 35s to 47s ; an extra prime line of 25, 52s fid ; unfinished, 28s to 335, equalling about 34d to 3j!d per lb; porkers easier at 24s to 30s equal to 34d ; stores, 10s to 20s 6d ; suckers, 4s to Bs.

Fat cattle— ; 23s head yarded. This exceeded requirements, and prices declined fully 10s per head. Best bullocks, L 8 to L 9 12s fid;' medium, Lfi 15s to L 7 15s; others, L 5 15s to Lfi 10s ; best cows and heifers, L 6 to L7ss ; medium, L 4 10s to L,5 IQs ; others, L 3 IQs. to L 4 7s fid..
j Fat sheep—24l3 penned, chiefly; ewes and medium quality wethers. Competition wps keen at prices on a par with last week for ewes, while there was a distinct advance for wethers. Best crossbred -wethers, 14s to 16s fid ; one pen extra heavy'. 17s 9d ; medium, 12s to ISsjfid ; others, 10s to 11s; best ewesj 12s to 15s; medium, 9s to 10s fid.
Fat lamds—llll penned, and met a good demand. Best lambs, 10s 3d to 12s ; medium, 9s to 10s ; others, 6s to Bs..
Pigs —185 yarded, and met a keen demand. Suckers, 5s to 11s; slips, 13s to 16s fid ; stores, 18s. to 22s porkers, 25s to 325; baconers, 36s to 50s; heavy pigs, 55s to 645.
Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co (in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams) report' that at their sale at Johnsonville, near Wellington, on Fiiday as follows :-—The entry of beef consisted of four pens-of good cows, two pens of good: bullocks, and the balance of the entry was made up of forward store -bullocks. The cows made <£6 2s to £6 7s fid, the* two pens of good bullocks £8 10s, and the balance of the entry sold at prices ranging from £6 to L 7 2s. fid. Quotations: —Beef at 20s to 21s per 1001 b. We had a fair entry of sheep, including a few pens of prime! ewes, which made 10s 6d ; medium ewes, 9s fid; others, 8s Brl to 9s ; medium -wethers, 10s to 10s 8d ; lambs, 8s 4d to 9s 2d ; store lambs, 5s fid to 6s. PRODUCE REPORT; Messrs Thompson Bros ahef Co furnish the following report of the Wellihgton fruit, dairy and produce market: Apples, Cox’s Orange t -choice 8s to 9s6d, medium 5s 6d to 6s 6d ; choice, dessert, 6s 6d to 8s ; Ribstones, choice 10s toils, medium 8s to 9s per case ; cookers 3s'to 4s 6d. Pears : Choice 10s to 12s 6d, medium quality, large 7s 6d to 8s 6d case; small fruit at lower rates. , Peaches: We sold choicest dessert from 4s 6d to 5s 6d ; medium 3s 6d to, 4s. ; ' Plums : Choice 3s 6d to 4s 6d. .
Grapes ; Outdoor grown, 4s 6d to 5s l6d per half case choice ; medium 3s to 4s 3d. Rock melons : 3s 6d to 4s per packer.
Water melons: Local Sd to iod each. Tomatoes: 3s to 3s 6d for choice lots medium 2s 6d to 3s. - Onions: Canterbury £5 10s ; local 4s 6d to 5S- . "7- 1 ; v"-
Potatoes : 33 3d to 3s 6d cwt for a good sample. Cucumbers : is 6d per box. Marrows : Large 3s to 6s dozen, small 2s to as 6d dozen.
Peas : iod to is per peck. Rhubarb : 2s to 2s 6d dozen bundles. Cabbages : 2s 6d to 3s 6d per sack. ■ Pollard : 15s ton. Wheat: 3s 8d to 3s gd bushel. * Eggs : is 6d dozen ; increasing demand. Poultry : Fowls 2s gd. roosters 3s 6d, ducks 3s 6d to 4s, geese 5s pair. Quinces : 3s to 3s 3d bushel case. Pumpkins : 7s to 8s sack. Butter : 7§d to 8d lb.
