Barley : (nominal) malting 2s 3d to 2s 6d, secondary Is 8d to Is lOd at country stations. Beans : 2s,Bd to 2s 9d, f.o.b. Peas: (nominal). Flour (millers' quotations) : Roller £7 10s. ' * Sharps : £4: 5s Pollard : £4= 5s per ton. Bran: £3 10s. Oatmeal : .£l3 f.o.b. Hay : .£2. 10s to £2 15s delivered. Grass Seed—Ryegrass, prime heavy town dressed 3s to 3s 6d, cocksfoot 2|dto 2fd, town machine-dressed 161 b to 171 b old seed to 3f*d f.o.b. Cow grass 6d to |d, extra choice 7d. "White clover, 6d to 8d delivered. STOCK SALES. At Addington -market last Wednesday 166 fat cattle'were yarded, mostly light to handy weights, with a few good steers. There was dull sale, «nd m decline of Is per 1001 b, -beef ruling lit 17s. Steers, £6 12s 6d to £8 10 , prime £9 to £ll, heifers £5 5-, cows £5 5s to £7 10s. Stores —A mixed yarding met guwlsale. "Fat Sheep—3ooo, mostly ewes. Freezing wethers were in good demand, selling at 13s to 16s 9d, heavie • up to 17s Id, lis and 12s 6d, others "-Bs. to 10s 6d. Merinos were almost unsaleable, owing to the large ya dng of ewes, and only oad prime lot sold at 14s 3d. "■"■'.-.
Fat lambs—sooo, including a number of secondary. This and careless drafting were responsible for a decline of Is to Is 6d. About 2500 were ttken for export at lis 4d to 14< 3ii ; 600 by butchers at 9s 3d to 14s 7d ; 650 by graziers at 9s to 10s"8.1 ; 1400 were passed at 10s to 13s 9d. Store sheep—66oo, mostly lambs. The dry weather caused less demand for all sorts, and there was a decided decline. A few wethers made 10s lid to 12s B<l, dry ewes 18s 9d to 13s 7d, ewes and lambs'Bs to 8s 2d all counted . La rnbs (about 2000) sold at 7s 3d to 10s Bd, and 1800 were passed. Pigs—about 500. All classes were easier.
