CORRESPONDENCE.

o Sr : I see the people of Richmond have made arrangements for holding a sort of children's day in connection with the Diamond Jubilee of Nelson. The Mavor and prominent residents are interesting themselves in the affair and I suppose the thing will be a success. Motueka is still a part of the old Nelson province and I think we ought to celebrate the Jubilee in some way or other. There are many old settlersand thtir children who will not be able to go over to Nelson on account of having not enough money to spare. It would be nice to bring them together for once. I am a poor hand at writing and if you could get us a day's enjoyment dnring the week we shall be glad. I am etc, Settler.
