The sports organised by the above corps were held on Boxing Bay in a paddock kindly lent by Mr Robert Staples and were an unqualified success a large number of* spectators being present from all parts of the district, including quite a number of excursionists from Nelson who came over in the steamers Lily, Wairoa and Lady Barkly.
