Although it is,.perhaps, rather premature to prognosticate as to the coming season's yield of fruits of various kinds, it* may not be out of place to give a general idea as far as present impressions will permit. As regards the apricot, in low lying situations the crop will be poor ; in some localities, wheie conditions are more favorable, a
other than the union, and probably on that account would not make any special effort in the ~intei*ests of the Union. The turnover of the younger firm not being so large, and the. moist of it Union fruit, it is quite reasonable to suppose that they would make a special effort to do well for their supporters. Now, Sir, the Nelson provincial Fruit Grower's Union has been formed entirely in the interests of the fruit growers, and the fruit growing industry ; and I hope that "Fruit grower," and all the fruit growers in the District, will become members, and help to make this important movement a success.
