Some correct statistics have been collected respecting the number of men employed in the armies of Europe. Here is a list:-
The cost of maintaining, clothing, and paying these men at the rate of 401. per head is £180,000,000 per annum. The above will give our Native friends a slight idea of the vast numbers inhabiting one portion of the globe—Europe.
