HORI HAUPAPA.
Hori Haupapa is an amiable well disposed Chief of Maketu Bay of Plenty. He is much attached to the Europeans, and is particularly hospitable to strangers who visit the romantic lake of Rotorua- He has been on the most friendly terms with the Government of the Colony, and is not a little proui of his loyalty. For many years he has conducted himself with great propriety and is deservedly respected by his countrymen.
