Inquest.

An inquest was held in tbe Court >iouse, Naseby, on 6th inst, to inquire into the death of a Chinaman namen Mee Hock. Mr J. I. Fraser, J.P., was acting coroner, and the jurv consisted of—Messrs Wru. Smith, E. Scherp, H. Jacob, S. STFerran, John Smith an«* H. P. J. Davis, of whom the former was chosen foreman. Constable Lemm conducted the inquiry. James Ru.nhle deposed that on Sunclay, about 3.30 p.ni., Mee Hock visited him in his hut. He seemed to be alright, but after sometime he seemed to be taken with a fit of shaking. After a while be got a bit better, and putting his hand to his head said -"Tno sore." As he complained of the cold, witness took him out and sat him in the sun. As he appeared to be getting worse witness went Tor the doctor, who told him to get the man to the hospital. Ii wb3 sometime before he could get the conveyance, and met Constable Lemm on the road who said Mee Hock was dead. Later witness assisted to convey him to his hut. Know him for 20 years. " v

Dr Lillie on Sunday afternoon received information of Mee Hock's illness and afterwards of his dest .
