Rheumatism,

Lumbago and Sciatica.

/ There are three forms of Rheumatism —Acute Rheumatism, Chronic Rheumatism, and IKuseitlar Rheumatism. Acute Rheumatism is the inflammation of a membrane known as the synovial membrane, which lines the joints, and which also extends tc various parts of the body apart, from" the joints. Y* 7 herever this membrane extends Acute Rheumatism may. This phase of Rheumatism is hereditary, and is not necessarily caused by exposure, as is supposed. Chronic Rheumatism is not so painful, but more persistent, and may attack different parts until it finally becomes fixed in one joint, when it is most difficult to remove. Muscular Rheumatism is more of the nature of Neuralgia. It is a dull pain, which increases in severity until movement ot any sort is attended by -convulsive and cramplike pains, whieh causes the patient to groan or cry aloud, and often wake him from sleep. An attack may last a week or more at a time. When this complaint occurs in the back or loins it is called Lumbago and in the hips Sciatica. Th.. use of liniments and rubbing the parts is no doubt good, but will not be attended by any • great results without internal remedies. In order to effectually overcome this complaint Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills and Comstock"s Nerve and Bone Liniment should be used as directed. These two remedies have been highly successful in all kinds of Rheumatism.

Comstock*s Nerve and Bone Liniment may be obtained at all the leading chemists and stores, or will be sent by mail (post ©aid) at the same price 2/6 per bottle (6 bottles 13/6) by The W. H. Comstock Co., Ltd., Farish Street. "Wellington. N.Z.
