Sheep Returns.
A. table laid on table of the House of Representatives shows tae number of sheep in the dominion on April 30, ,1916, and April 30, 1917. The figures are:— 1916 1917 South Island 10.907,351 10,703,258 North laland 13,880,799 14,567,128 Total for dominion 24,788,150 25,270,386 The increase in the North Island was 686,329, and the decrease in the South Island 204,093, and the net increase for the dominion was 482,236. The number of owners has increased from 23,181 to 23,380.
