(Contributed.) The deciding match between The! Ranfurly and Naseby junior teams was played at Ranfurly last Saturday and resulted in a win for Ranfurly by' 9 points to 3. If however the referee had kept pace with the game the scores would certainly have been different. Two fair irits wera scored for Naseby by Jacob and Carnelly, but the referee was too far away to see tbem and consequently disallowed them. Ranfurly's first try was a glaring piece of offside play, noticed by everyone bar the referee. Naseby were unfortunate in losing aarly in the game one of their best players (Beattia) who retired with a broken collar bone. Notwithstanding the contention that Naseby should have been victors by 9 points to 6, the Ranfurly team showed th 6 most promise. The Naseby backs were weak in their passing. Carnelly stood out for dash amongst the forwards. Ranfurly possesses some very fine forwards, and their backs on several occasions got good passing rushes going which would have bad better results bad Bleach run straight instead of right across the field, gaining no ground and cramping his other men. Forrester on the wing showed great promise and in a few more years should be heard of in big football.
