Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.
The usual monthly meeting of the Maniototo Hospital and Charitable Aid Board wis held on Wednesday, sth September. —Present— Messrs C. J. Inder (chairman), Kinney, M'Atamney, Mann, Lowis, Davia and Marslin. The minutes were read and confirmed and the outward correspondence approved. Th« officer in charge of the artifi - cial limb factory, Wellington, forwarded circular stating the Government has begun a small factory in Wellington for the manufacture and repair of artificial limbs for returned soldiers. The factory is now partially equipped with tosls and material for repair works chiefly, and the workmen are returned soldiers who have had training at Rochampton. Should any soldier enquire of j'ou regarding repairs to his artificial limb I will inform you when he can be fitted. The be°t advice will be given him should we be unable to assist him personally. (Further particulars may be received on application to the secretary of this Board). —Re- j ceived.
The chairman and .secretary of the Knox Incurables Home Trust Board forwarded circular giving the cost of maintenance of patients.— Received.
The Inspector-general forwarded circular respecting massage and that masseurs trained in the School of Massage in Donedin should only be accepted.—Received. .
The hospital committee's report was read and adopted.
Accounts amounting to £206 13s id were passed for payment.
