Hospital Committee.
The monthly meeting on Tuesday vves attended by Messrs Parker(chair), Hore and Fraser. The minutes were ,read, and confirmed on the motion of Messrs Francis and Hore.
The doctor's report showed that at date of last return there were four males and six females in the hospital, and four of each sex bad been admitted during the month, making the total treated 18. Four males and sevsn females had been discharged, leaving under treatment four and three respectively. There were three births during the month—two males and one female. Four out-patients made 12 attendances. Donations: Mrs Mulholland, eggs and cream; Mrs Alex Brown, oysters; Mr Thos. Forrester, crtam and eggs; Mrs Gedd«>9, eggs; Mrs Smith, eggs; Mrs Cceigbton, vegetables, Mrs A. B. Hall, a kettle and dripping. Miss Campbell, relieving matron, left at the end of the month and Miss Kelly resumed duty on the Ist inst.
Dr Lillie also suggested that Miss Campbell be sent a letter expressing appreciation of her capable services.— The report was received on th« motion of Messrs Hore and Francis. The correspondence was formal »nd unimportant. The inward included an application from a Dunedin young lady for a position aa probationer.—On the motion of Messrs Francis and Hore, the inward correspondence was received and tne outward approved. It was resolved to get the groceries from Mr Francis during the month and that Mr Ward cart the coal. Accounts amounting to £lO7 12s 5d were recommended for payment
