Licensing Committee.

At the auarterly meeting on Tuesday the Bench consisted of Messrs Aeheson," S.M. (chairman), Inder, M'Knigbc and Mitchell. 'A temporary transfer from Annie Young to' Thomas M'Dowall, Bridge Hotel, Miller's Plat, was granted.

Permission was granted James Rutherford to allow Melville Jobn Miller to cany on the business of the Welsh Harp Hotel, Cambrian, for three months.

Sergt. M'Clone reported that he had served notice on John ftl'Dowal!, of the Albion Hotel, Roxburgh, that his license had lapsed owing to his having been convicted at, the Supreme Court, Dunedin, of an indictable offence, and sentenced to imprisonment until the rising of the court and ordered to pay £2 14s costs.

A temporary transfer was granted from the Public Trustee to Annie M'Ciintock for the Bendigo Hotel, Alexandra. \
