Naseby Concert.
j The forthcoming concert in aid of i our wounded soldiers bids fair to be i one of outstanding merit, the organ- ; isers having spared neither time or i pains to make it a show to be remem- '. bered, and a packed bouse should witj neßs the rise, of the curtain on Thursi day, August 30th. Among the many j interesting items on the programme is | a one act play entitled "The Real Q" ! recognised all over N.Z. where Mr C. Bentley Russell has produced it v with ' great success, as one one of the smartest yet to see the "footlights." A powerful chorus has been built and all the latest choruses will be heard, some of which have not yet been heard in N.Z. A glance at the programme will ! convince anyone that the musical items j will be well worth coming a long way to hear, every item being bright, breezy and new. The "Patter Pair" Messrs C. Bentley Russell and J. I. | Fraser, do a broad comedy turn which ! should keep the audience bubbling I with mirth, the Patter is clever and up-to-date and the song that finishes the turn, is, to use an old "Charley's Aunt" phrase "funny enough to make a cat laugh." The programme concludes with a screamingly funny ons act < comedy, "That Brute Simmons" in which MiDrake will be seen as Mr Simmons, Mr J. 1. Fraser as Bob Ford and Mr C. Bentley Russell as the notorious Mrs Simmons. Patrons are advised to come early to avoid the crush. There will be a dance to follow.
