Kyeburn.

A social was bald in tbe halJ on Wednesday evening, August Ist, to bid farewell to Privates Clonie and Taylor, who have been home on final leave. Unfortunately Private Taylor was unable to attend, having other arrangements on hand. The hall was comfortably filled, not many outsiders being present. Mr Henderson as usual carried out tha duties of M.C. The music for the dance was all that could be desired, tbe following players taking part:—Messrs R. L. Geddes, A. Douglas, J. Creighton, C. Douglas and H. Wilson (violins). After ample justice had been done to the good things supplied by tbe ladies, and all good wishes being bestowed upon the soldiers, a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close by singing God Save the King.
