Inquiries made by a Post reporter elicited the information that the Direc-tor-general of Medical Services had issued instructions to the district medical boaras that any man who has attained his fourty-fourth birthday on being called up for service will be placed in class C2 (medically unfit) and. transferred to home service. A very successful hare shoot for the wounded soldiers, organised by the Becks Patriotic Committee, wes held over the properties of "Messrs R. Wilson, R. V. Wilson and Mrs E. Mee. A good bag of hares resulted. About 20 guns participated. The company were hospitably entertained by Mr and Mrs R. Wilson. It is understood that several more shoots are being organised. The hares were forwarded to the Burnside Freezing Works.
