Land Board.
The following was among the business transacted, at the last meeting of the Land Board: — T,.e following applications to transfer were dealt with:—S.g.r. 223k, j Lauder, 3810 acres, Mr Patrick Landers to Mr William Bell, jun.—Recommended for approval. Section 40, block V, Lender, 10 acres 3 roods 10 poles, Mr John Ryan to Mr James Haig.—Held over for ranger's report. Section 3, block IV, Swinburn, 200 a Mr Thomas Healy to Mr James George Finch.—Declined. Mt Patrick Francis M'Carthy applied for a renewal of occupation lease over section 78, block I, St. Bathans district, and for inclusion in his holding of a Btrip of land about six seres in extent running alongside his fence. — Ranger O'Neill appointed arbitrator and directed to report. Mr R. A. Clark applied for a yearly license over 32 acres St. Bathans Mining Reserve.—Held over. Mr G. O'Hara applied for a grazing license over 1500 acres, St. Bathans Mining Reserve.—Held over. The following applications to acquire freeholds were approved:—Section 10, block X, Naseby, SS acres 2 roods 05 poles —Mr Felix M' Carthy; sections 2 and 10, block XI. Maniototo, 270 acres 2 roods 3S poles—Mr James Howell) (executor of Mary Ann Howell); section 23, block IV, Swinburn, 22 acres 2 roods 33 poles—Mr James Hawkins Crutchley; section 8 block XI, Maniototo, 78 acres 3 roods —Mr Thomas Howell.
