Licensing Committee.
At the annual meeting on Taesday, the Bench consisted of Messrs Craig (chosen chairman in the absence of the Magistrate), Inder, Mitchell and M'Knight. The following applications were granted, and as there were no objections by th« police the business was quickly dispssad of. In the case of the Albion Hotel, Roxburgh, and the Moa Flat Hotel the police report stated that the buildings were old, and the licensees undertook to re-erect them when things resumed their normal condition. The proprietor of the Otago Central Hotel (Hyde) applied (through Mr Fraser) for a reduction of the fee, but the Bench intimated that they had decided to allow no reductions; all fees would be the same as last yeßr. Conditional license fees would also b« charged as last year.
