THE POLISH QUESTION.
The 1 Gazeta .Narodowa' (organ of the Polish Liberals in' G-alicia) publishes an article 011 the present po3ition of the Polish question. That question, it aays, is intimately connected with the struggle now going on in the East. It was the fall of Poland which made Russia a great European Power, and a in en ace to the safety and integrity of its neighbors and the other European States. The acquisition of the Polish territories gave Jiussia the means of extending herself eastward, and was, therc-foro, theimoiediate origin of the haatern Question. From tual; time forward Kuseia has stretched her arm towards; Constantinople with a certainty of success, and has systematically labored to become the possessor of the Bosphorus and tha Turkish, dominions. And just as the Eascern Question orginated in the fall of Poland, so the subjection of Poland con tinues to keep that question alive, f it can only be liualjy settled by the restoration of Poland. Moreover, ''luseia no fights in Turkey as the ' arapiom of Panslavißm, an idea wh, -. .■<). alization would be fatal to aom. pean States and prejudicial t. ■ all of them. Polaud, &s t'-. .
