•A- West Coast paper says that at the last sitting of the District Court, lieefton, two bankrupts— married men—applied t->r orders of discharge on the same day, and'singularly enough the " cause otinsolvency " in each case was set down to liabilities incurred by their respective spouses prior to marrage. Mr. Staite, in moving for the orders, admitted the singularity cf the circumstances, but urged that the fact was as represented. It is needless (says the local paper) to say that the orders, which were unopposed, were granted. * '
