HEREBY GIVEN that the Maniototo County Council did, at a meeting held in tho Town Hall, Naseby, on " the 6th day of September, 1877, approve of the foregoing Estimate. And notice is further given that it is intended, at a meeting of the said Council to be held, at the Town Hall, Naseby, aforesaid, on the 25th day of beptember, at the hour of 3 o'clock p.m., to make and levy a Gt-oneral Rate of One Shilling in the Pound upon the values of all rateable property within the County, as appears by the Valuation Roll for the time being; that such Rate shall be for the period ending on the 31st day of March, 1878, and shall be payable in one sum on the 3rd day of October, 1877; and that the particulars of the said Rate have been transcribed into a Rate-Book, in form and manner required by " Tho Eal ing Act, 1876," and that such Rate-Book is kept at the Office oi the County Council, Town Hall, Naseby, aforesaid,*'and is open for inspection by all Ratepayers on any working .day between the hours of 2 and 4 o'clock p.m. And notice is further given that all Appeals against the Rate-Book will be heard and considered at the said meeting of the Couneil, to be held at the time and place aforesaid. Applicants, will therefore.-have to state for what percentage of the rates or on what othei terms they will collect the rates within the Ridings of Idaburn, St. Bathans, and Mount Ida taken together, and those of Kyeburn. Hyde, Puketoi, and Serpentine taken together; and legal notice must be given to al ratepayers under Section 48 of " The Rating Act" on or before October.
