The second annual ploughing match in the Mount Ida distriet (firßt under the auspices o: the Mount Ida Farmers' Club) took place on Thursday last (23rd) on land belonging to Mr. Walter Inder, situated about one mile from Naseby. The weather was very dull and threatening, a thick mist prevailing all day. The ground chosen for the match °was of fin undulating character, but so far as choi-ie of lots were concerned there was little difference. Shortly after ten a.m., thirteen ploughs (out of sixteen entered) commenced the contest.
