The Revising Officer will hold a Court for the revision of the list of voters of the district of Mount Ida at the Court House, Naseby, on Friday, May 25th. Wo understand that the fuU quantity, forty heads, could bo brought in, if necessary, without tapping the source. . It almost looks na if Mr. G. M'Lean was deceiving tho Maniototo Council in leading them to beliovo that nothing could be done with tho roads in their County if they refused to constitute, because there were no road board districts. Clauso 91 of tho Public Works Act i 3 clear : —" In any pr.rt of the •Colony which is not included ia a road district, ?,11 tho roads shall be deemed to bo County roads ; and if in ench part tho whole of ' The Counties Act, 1875," is not brought into force therein, the roads therein shall be deemed to bo Government roads." Very evidently provision was made for tho caso of Counties which were one outlying district.
