FERAUD takes the present • opportunity of informing residents of the Northern Goldfields and the general public that his Factory being replete with every convenience, he is now turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr. Feraud has succeeded in producing AKOMATIO TOHIC BITTEB WINES, which are not only agreeable beverages, but also have excellent medicinal qualities. The following is Professor Black's report:— " University, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand Laboratory. Class Beverages. November sth, 1875. I have examined for Mr. J. D. Feraud, of Monte Christo, Clyde, Otago, two samples of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the following result: No. 827 is a sherry colored, and No. 828 is a port wine red colored liquid ; they are both perfectly transparent showing the purity of the water and other substances employed in tlipjr manufacture. These two beverages have a alight acid chemical reaction, and possega as agreeable, cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of sweetness, arising from the saccharine matter of f-he fruit of which they are the fermented extract, I havp also examined the aromatic and other flavoring substances used by Mr. Feraud in their manufactijfts, and from the proportions in which they are blended with the fruit wiflp, they must be pronounced perfectly safe, and fre,e from anything like deleterious properties. I consider fcfo's wine, therefore, an agreeable and perfectly safe beverage, and when diluted wjth three or four times their bulk of water, they will make a good cooling summer drink. JAMES G. BLACK, Provincial 4-fi9lyßt." COM)NIAL WINES, COBDIA£3, AND SYBUPB. Either iu Bulk or Bottlp. Orders froip any part of the Ppqyjnce punntu*lly attended to. J. D. FERAUD.
