FURNISHING & GENERAL IRONMONGERS & IMPORTERS, Princes - street, DuNEnrx. DUN STAN BEE WERT. COLONIAL WINE & CORDI4L MANUFACTORY, MONTE CHRISTO, CLYDE. J D. FERAUD takes the present • opportunity of informing residents of the Northern Goldfields and the general public that his Factory being replete with every convenience, he is now turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr. Feraud has succeeded in producing AEOMATIO Tcmic BITTER WINES, which are no); only agreeable beverages, but also have excellent medicinal qualities. The following is Professor .Black's report "University, Dunedin, Otago, New. Zealand Laboratory. Class Beverages. November sth, 1875. I have examined for Mr. J. D. Feraud, of Monte Chxisto, Clyde, Otago, two samples of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the following result: No. 827 is a sherry colored, and No! 828 is a port -wine red colored liquid ; they are both perfectly transparent showing the purity of the >water and other substances employed in their manufacture. These two beverages have a Blight acid chemical reaction, and possess an agreeable, cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of sweetness, arising from the saccharine matter of the fruit of which they are the fermented extract. I have also examined the aromatic and other flavoring substances used by Mr. Feraud in their manufacture, and from the proportions in which they are blended with the fruit wine, they must be pronounced perfectly safe, and free from anything like deleterious properties. I consider this -wine, therefore, an agreeable and perfectly safe bevorage, and when diluted with three or four times their bulk of water, they will make a good cooling summer drink. JAMES G. BLACK, Provincial Analyst." COLONIAL WINTCB, COBDIAXS, AND BYRBP3. Either in Bulk or Bottle. Orders frore uny part pf the Province pvinptuiUy ft trended to. J. D. FERAUD.
