DEATH OF MR. T. HANRAHAN ST. BATHANS.

We are told that those whom God loveth He' chasteneth The people of St. Bathans stand in need of such consoling assurance, for thuy have been severely punished in the death of ' several friends du.ing the past twelve months. Mr Thomas Ffanrahan, brother to Messrs Patrick and Moses Hanrahan, was the las-t victim, after a short illness, in which he was attended by father Walsh and Dr. Allen. He departed this life on Monday night the 4th inst., and was buried on the 7th. His loss is greatly regrettpd by all who knew him, and all the more because he leaves behind him a wife and young family. The brothers Hanrahan have been in St Bathans since its first opening, and, being well known, and deservedly respected throughout the district, it is not surprising that numerous friends aitd well-wishers from Naseby, Blacks, Devonshire, &c , as well as from places less remote, came to swell the ranks of one of the largest funeral processions vet seen here Deceased was a native of Bree, County Wexford, Ireland. The cause of death was disease of the heart and lungs. Requiescat in pace. —Contributed.
