Dukk op Edinburgh is a dark brown horse, neventeon and a-httlf hands high, and is seven years old. Has immense bone, and splendid action. Ho was bred by E. Fricker, out of the celebrated mare Nora, imported from Melbourne by Mr. P. Aitchison. Nora waß a large prize-lakor in Melbourne. His sire is the celebrated horse Lofty, imported from Sco'land by the Hon. Mathew Holmes. Duko of Edinburgh, as a two-year-old, took ♦ho first prize in hie class at Oamaru. He hr.s a docilo temper, is thoroughly staunch, and has proved himself a sure foal-getter in the Oamaru and Mount Ida Districts. TERMS £3 10s. Every convenience for mares exists at the Eweburn Farm, consisting of 600 acres, securely fenced and well-watered, and divided into three paddocks—one specially kept for mares with foalß at foot. THE PURE CLYDESDALE ENTIRE HORSE "LORD LOVATT," (Peter Law, Proprietor), Will stand for the Season at the Sowburn Swamp. LORD LOYATT is a beautiful Bay, has immense bone, and splendid action. He was bred by Mr. Fraser, Kilmore, Victoria, out of his imported mare Jess (sire —the celebrated horse Prince Charlie, imported from Scotland by J. and M. M'lntosh), and has taken several First Prizes as a year and two-year-old, among which he gained the First at Kilmoro against ten others. He has also served in tho Benalla district, and proved himself the sire of the best stock in that district; as well as the sire of some of the most valuable stock in the Mount Ida district. Securely fenced and well watered grass paddock of 400 acres at the Sowburn for mares, where every caro will be taken, but no responsibility. HARUHA is a Bay Horse, bred by Mr Redwood in 1572, got by Towton, dam Fair Puritan, by Oliver Cromwell, out of Coronaria (imported), by Sweetmeat, out of Jessica, by Launcelot, own brother to Touchstone. Towton (imported), by Melbourne, dam Cinizelli, by Touchstone. Oliver Cromwell by Potentate oat of Woodstock, by Theorem (imported), out of a mare imported to New South Wales from England. Potentate, by Sir Hercules (sire of the Barb) out of Princess, by Gratis.(imported). Marchioness, an own sister to Towton, won the Oaks in 1855. Marchioness has bred in Victoria Hone of Denmark, Fishhook, Angler (sire of the Chrysolite colt, winner of the Derby at the late A.J.C. Meeting), and other good animals. (The Marquis, a son, Cinizelli by Stockwoll, won the Two Thousand Guineua in . 1862; ran second for the Derby, for which he was first favorite, and won the St. Leger.)
